This web site is a wiki. Specifically, it is a ~TiddlyWiki, the creation of Jeremy Ruston. \n\nThere are many kinds of wikis; what they all have in common is that they allow you to record units of information while easily creating and organizing the relationships among the various parts. That is why some people describe wikis as "free-form databases." ~TiddlyWiki achieves this goal superbly, allowing you to create separate units of information, called //tiddlers//. You can then link tiddlers by simply using the name of one tiddler inside another tiddler: the name automatically becomes a clickable link.\n\nTip: If you have opened many tiddlers and want to clear the screen quickly, click the <<closeAll>> button located at the top right. \n\nIn authoring mode you can also //tag// every tiddler with key words that you devise. The tags are automatically added to the tags master list. When you click on a tag in the list, you see a list of all the tiddlers that have that tag, and you can select a single tiddler to open, or choose to open all the tiddlers in the list. Note also that each tiddler's tags appear in the tag box in the top-right corner of the tiddler.\n\nIn Jeremy Ruston's own words:\n>A ~TiddlyWiki is like a blog because it's divided up into neat little chunks, but it encourages you to read it by hyperlinking rather than sequentially: if you like, a non-linear blog analogue that binds the individual microcontent items into a cohesive whole.\n\n!!Browsers\n~TiddlyWiki was designed for the http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ browser, but works with all popular modern browsers. However, if you are using Internet Explorer 6.0, you may see some odd behavior; such as tiddlers that contain wide graphics forced to the bottom of the page. This happens because of the way IE 6.0 tries to accomodate graphics. IE 7.0 solves this problem.\n\n!~TiddlyWiki Links\nYou can learn more at Jeremy Ruston's site: http://www.tiddlywiki.com.\n\n~TiddlyWiki also accepts style themes, which allow you to change the look of a tiddlywiki. Our site combines two tiddlywiki themes created by Saq Imtiaz and available at his site: http://www.tiddlythemes.com\n

Learning a foreign language is an enjoyable and meaningful experience for all children. As children develop confidence in their ability to use their heritage language or any other language, they experience a greater sense of pride in their cultural heritage and they are able to contribute more fully in Canada's multicultural society.\n\n!Warum Deutsch lernen?\nWussten Sie schon ...dass für über 100 Millionen Menschen Deutsch die Muttersprache ist?
